Since 2001, Radon Booking has been one of the
primary agencies dealing with the exchange of
performers between the American and European
undergrounds. In 2006, Radon presents its latest
offering of trans-atlantic oddities.

OVO

Ovo is the flagship band of Italy’s Bar La Muerte
records. In their years of relentless touring they
have become true pioneers in the European underground,
developing a dedicated following in even the most
remote locales.
The duo of drummer Bruno Dorella and guitarist
Stefania Pedretti, deliver a mesmerizing, performance oriented concert with the simplest of materials.
With the release of “CICATRICI” (Radon/Sunship ’04)
and the two subsequent US jaunts, these touring
mainstays of Europe have carved their place in the
USA. This fall they will return in support of their
new disc, “MIASTENIA” (Load Records #91). Expect new
and bizarre aural explorations from the costumed
Italian duo.

Jean Louis Costes
I LOVE HATE
Tour 2006

The return of Jean-Louis Costes to the USA is
certainly one of the most highly anticipated noise
tours of the year. His 2003 presentation of “Holy
Virgin Cult”, both thrilled his long-time fans and
earned him a legion of new listeners. After surviving
malaria, the Paris riots and the authoring of his
first book, this historic cult figure tours the USA in
2006.
“I Love Hate” is a 35 minute, one-man show, as
Costes portrays the story of a recluse, dwelling at
home and tinkering with his keyboard, as he awaits the
arrival of his girlfriend. Yet she never
comes…
At long last she arrives, but things go horribly
wrong…

STEVE MACKAY

The legendary saxophonist Steve Mackay of both past
and present incarnations of Iggy Pop’s punk icons The
Stooges, has been an active professional musician
since the mid-sixties. For the past years, he has
presented both live and in the studio, his unique take
on free-form saxophone with his compatriots from the
Radon Collective. His talents have been displayed
upon such recent releases as Smegma’s “30 Years of
Service”, Grails “Redlight” (Neurot Recordings) and
“You’ve Got Your Orders” from Chrome Peeler records.
To celebrate the release of the cd, “Michigan and
Arcturus” Mackay once again unites line-ups of his
ever-changing Radon Ensmeble for live improvisational
assaults on audiences in Europe and the USA. The
live experience of Steve Mackay and the Radon Ensemble
has astounded audiences with epic performances
everywhere from the Derby in Hollywood to the Tonic in
NYC to Radon’s surrogate European home in Portugal.
These events have earned even more critical acclaim
for the man, who ever since he spewed a stream of
chaos onto the “Funhouse” album, has been known as one
of the greatest and most respected saxophone players
in the business.

*because of the heavy touring schedule for Iggy and the Stooges this fall, Mackay is only availble for weekends and showcase events. Email for availability.
